honored to have co-organized the Taiwan-EU Generative AI Seminar on 25 March 2025 as part of the EU-Taiwan Trade & Business Events (ETTBE) program, alongside the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO) and the European Economic and Trade Office (EETO). This seminar marked our third ETTBE event, bringing together over 180 participants for an in-depth discussion on the intersection of Generative AI, copyright, and regulation.

The opening remarks set the stage for a thoughtful and forward-looking discussion. Lutz Guellner, Head of the EETO, described AI as both the most used and least understood term: one that reflects society’s hopes, fears, and ambitions. He emphasized the EU’s commitment to safety, human dignity, and fair systems, especially in the context of the new AI Act.
